It may feel like you’ve put your life on hold at the moment. How can you financially plan for the future when the world is in such turmoil? Who in their right mind would be shaping their dreams when the goalposts are being moved every week?
In truth, now is the perfect time to start designing your future. Yes, there is uncertainty. Yes, there is unease. However, putting your ideas on hold will only prevent you from achieving your targets sooner.
Discover your dream
Finding out what matters to you is the first phase of my 5-step programme. It’s where you’ll discover your priorities and get a clear focus on your future. By asking the right questions, you can dig deeper into the hopes and dreams you harbour in your subconscious and bring them to the forefront of your mind.
Saying you want to earn 100,000 euros by the end of 2021 is a vague goal without purpose. Understanding why you want to earn that amount of money presents you with an emotional connection to your future.
Ask yourself the following questions:
By answering these and other questions, with my help, you can pin down what you want your future to look like and create a strategy to achieve it.
“A financial plan is only as good as the life plan it supports.”
You may feel out of control in the current climate, but planning allows you to regain some of that control and begin to make improvements on your financial security and independence. Understanding your priorities ensures that the future you dream about becomes a reality.
Changing your career direction
With so many of my clients furloughed or being made redundant, the emphasis has switched to working on long term plans that will lead to a more stable future. Change can be a good thing, and if you’ve experienced the negative effects of the global pandemic, then perhaps it’s the ideal time to review your career path.
One of my client’s, a young man in his early 40s, has used my 5-step programme to reassess his career choices and came away with the realisation that he wanted to follow a different direction. Once that decision was made, we were able to review his finances and create a workable and achievable plan of action around his new journey.
The link between your personal and professional development creates a life without limits, which is a topic I talk about regularly here on my blog and on my podcast shows. In the latest podcast episode I chat about that link with Jules White, Sales Coach at Live It, Love It, Sell It. We also talked about finding motivation and overcoming challenges, topics of equal importance at this time. You can catch that episode HERE.
How can you start preparing for your financial future today?
You can only plan for the future if you understand every aspect of your current financial situation. I advocate a life without limits, but the life you want has to start with a few simple steps – 5 steps in fact.
Step 1 – Discover what matters to you and what your financial future looks like
Step 2 – Understand your priorities and start visualising your potential
Step 3 – Overcome the obstacles that are holding you back from financial freedom
Step 4 – Take action to create a financial plan that achieves results
Step 5 – Follow the plan with the guidance and support you need
My DREAM programme is the ideal foundation to build your financial future.
